White Man Assaults Black Woman And Police Arrest The Victim

L’Daijohnique Lee made the mistake of going the wrong way down a one-way street in Dallas. A supposedly concerned citizen, Austin Shuffield was pulling out of a parking lot at the same time and attempted to take a photo of her license plate. The incident then quickly escalated, when an armed an intoxicated Shuffield approached Lee on foot. He knocked Lee’s phone from her hand and then repeatedly struck her in the head. Lee, while in distress, then smashed the windows in the assailant’s vehicle. This of note because authorities did not immediately charge Shuffield for striking Lee repeatedly and, instead opted to charge Lee with criminal mischief. This is alarming because Shuffield is a white man and his victim is a black woman. The incident has sparked protests in Dallas.
